Go on full or half day biking trips on Samui Island

A typical company is the Red Bicycle that offers half and full day trips on their Santa Cruz bikes. You have a choice between taking a jeep or an off road motorbike into the interiors of Samui Island by taking one of the inland roads from Lamai and Mae Nam. However if you go biking, ensure that you are dressed and equipped for the trip; and don't forget water as you are sure to get thirsty while going biking in the tropical climate of Samui Island.

If you want to take an endurance test on biking on Samui Island, taking a simple circular route round the island is more than sufficient as a test for you. This trip takes about 4 -5 hours on bike, and make sure you reach your hotel before dark as it is very dangerous traveling around Samui Island at night, without any lights. The most difficult part of the biking trip would be the steep hills found between Chaweng and Lamai.

Samui Island tests your ability in biking

If you want to add more variety to your biking trip, take a ride inland where you find interesting spots like Mae Nam Valley. There are many challenging downhills and uphills found here through groves and farmland. And if you want suspension testing action on Samui Island, head to Wanorn Waterfall. This is a trip that only the fittest of the fit should embark on while on Samui Island. This is because you have to dodge boulders, bike through slipper mud and cycle up a 1:4 gradient which is found close to a ravine.
