Fisherman's Village is none other than Bophut Beach

Bophut Beach is geographically divided into two places; the main Bophut beach that is several kilometers long and located between Big Buddha and Maenam beaches. The other part of Bophut beach is the charming Fisherman's Village which occupies the central part of the beach and is perhaps one of the oldest places found on the island.

Fisherman's Village is the other name for Bophut Beach and is famous as the most well preserved and elegant place of Samui Island. You find old wooden Chinese shop houses lining the streets with a few modern buildings interspacing these shops to create that special tone. The reason for this feel that Bophut beach is attributed to the French outpost that was on the island for many years.

Bophut Beach offers a variety of shopping

These shops in Bophut beach are mixed in nature where you find several boutiques that sell designer clothes and jewelry. There are also some dive shops in Bophut Beach where you can get scuba lessons or go for a day dive in the famous Ang Thong Marine Park, Sail Rock or Koh Tao Island.

Bophut Beach organizes tours to other parts of Samui Island

You can also take some of the selected tours offered by La Sirene to secret spots located on the surrounding islands of Samui Island. There are also jeep rides available in Bophut Beach to places that are basically difficult to reach by people who are not familiar with the way of the island. One such location is the Secret Buddha Garden where you can go for a long elephant ride in the tropical forest or perhaps a fishing trip on a local fishing boat around the island of Koh Phangan.
