All of our bungalows are close to the beach and some are right on the beachfront with a panoramic outlook on the Gulf of Thailand. You will find traditional Thai furnishings and all mod-cons.
Drift to our large swimming pool and dip into the Jacuzzi. Children have their own pool to splash about in too. The pace of life is laidback and easygoing, the mood is tranquil and fun. Stretch out on the pure white beach, doze, chat, laugh, play, the choice is yours.
If you want to get active there is snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and jetskiing to be had. Or paddle canoes round the coast and find a secluded cove to picnic at. Join a cocktail cruise, go fishing or island hop to Koh Tao for a beach barbecue. Lamai itself is close by with shops, quaint cafes, bars and restaurants.
Of course you will love our very own Beachfront Restaurant. Linger over ample breakfasts and enjoy lunches and dinners where you can ring the changes between Thai, Chinese, International, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Our weekly beach barbecue is tasty and lots of fun. Enjoy sunshine sea views by day and all the romance of magical moonlight evenings. Sand Sea Resort and Spa Samui is located on Lamai Beach Koh Samui. The island of Koh Samui is the most well-established and popular holiday destination in the Thai province of Surat Thani.
Located in the Gulf of Thailand Koh Samui offers pure white beaches, coconut palms, unspoilt forests and hills as well as a host of tourist amenities and attractions. Highlights include Nathon market, the mountain jungle, Na Tian Butterfly Garden, Samui Zoo & Aquarium, monkey shows and a crocodile farm as well as stunning natural scenery and a host of watersports. First settled 1500 years ago by Malay and Chinese fishermen, its name probably comes from the Chinese word “saboey” meaning “safe haven”.
Koh Samui is surrounded by many smaller islands which together comprise the Ang Thon National Marine Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
A single road stretches around the15km Circumference Island, connecting its charming beach towns and atmospheric old capital of Nathon which has great shopping opportunities.– .
Each resort “town” has its own distinctive character but all share a laidback atmosphere and tropical beauty. Chaweng has the longest beach and is the most developed. It offers a fantastic choice of restaurants, entertainment and bustling nightlife, Lamai is closeby with a more low key feel. Maenam’s spectacular views and golden sands are still relatively undiscovered while the smaller, traditional Bhophut particularly appeals to independent travellers and those who love chic resorts. Choeng Mon offers a quiet, tranquil retreat and Big Buddha, also known as Bang Rak has very peaceful waters and is the closest to Koh Samui airport.
Koh Samui is located about 650km from Bangkok, has its own airport and easily accessible by plane and ferry.
Flights from Bangkok airport leave hourly and take around 70 minutes.
Flights from Phuket leave daily and take around 30 minutes.
Koh Samui airport offers many mini-buses and taxis to transport you to your onwards destination.
Ferry services from Surat Thani, the nearest mainland city to Nathon run regularly. The express ferry takes 3 hours and night boats take 6-7 hours.
There is a combined air-conditioned bus/catamaran service from Bangkok which takes around 11 hours.

Even if you stay two weeks on Koh Samui there is so much to see and do that you will still have to come back for more! Also, we understand that you come to relax and enjoy our gentle pace of life. Sunbathing is good too! However here are just some highlights of what is on offer.
Of course our lovely beach is home to friendly games of volleyball or you can take to the waters. Snorkel around our reefs and coves, learn to dive with expert instructors. Windsurf, Jetski or sail. Join our skilled fishermen on a deep sea fishing expedition or kayak around our coast. Other marine adventures include cocktail cruises, island-hopping and trips to Angthon Marine Park.
On land Lamai is a short stroll away with shops, bars and restaurants. Or take the short trip to lively Chaweng Town with bustling markets and a lively nightlife. Hire a jeep or motorbike from us and get around more of the island or ask our tour desk team about fantastic excursions. Try everything from rubber tapping and ox-cart driving to paintballing, go-karting and trekking on elephants!
