X2 Resorts Koh Samui: Overview

For guests looking for something different, the resort allows them to cross to (X2) a whole new dimension of luxury by design, and experience life and their vacation as it should be.

The local area is still underdeveloped (which is a rare thing in Koh Samui) so it retains a natural tropical and peaceful atmosphere with the only a few high-end residential villa projects sharing the beach. The resort occupies 5 acres (12 Rai) of land, with 27 villas. Most have private swimming pools, and outside areas.

The 100 meter beach front and 50 year old trees help provide the X2 atmosphere the owners were striving to achieve, and gave designers the background on which to recreate the resort.

The resort has a unique spa, and impressive outdoor massage pavilion. The Pavilion houses only two beds and is situated on 1 acre (2.5 rai) of land ….featuring 30 meters of beachfront. This extravagant use of prime land provides an unbelievable sense of space and freedom so typical of X2.

Each designer styled private villa features a spacious private terrace, a garden patio, entertainment including a home theatre/ DVD/ LCD with satellite TV, a movie and music library, a selection of magazines and of course free high speed WiFi internet access throughout the resort.

Room facilities at X2 Resorts also offer private terrace and garden where you can sit and relax under the shade of sun. It also makes you have a glanced view of the whole location outside the resort, which seems to be attractive scenery or a natural landscape.

Bungalow (x4)
85sqm. The bungalow provides 40sqm of internal space. It has private terrace which covers 15sqm of area while its private garden covers 30sqm of space.

Pool Villa (x21)
Covering total space of 162sqm, pool villa provides 50sqm area as internal space. It consists of private terrace of 60sqm while its private garden covers 30sqm of area. Moreover, thus villa comprises of a private pool which covers 22sqm of area.

Suite Pool Villa (x1)
The villa encompasses total 180sqm, including internal space of 60sqm area. With a private terrace of 65sqm area and private garden of 30sqm area. It also features a private pool which covers 25sqm area. Overall a very spacious villa.

Owners Villa (x1)
The owners villa consists of total 230sqm area, which allocates 60sqm to internal area, 85sqm to private terrace and 60sqm to private garden, with 25sqm private pool.

All X2 resorts have their signature 4K restaurant (pronounced “fork”) and bar. The menu is a mix of eastern and western dishes and the best of fusion. Local products in season tend to dominate the menu, so guests can be assured that their stay will also be a culinary delight.

International executive chefs offer a wide range of fusion European and Thai dishes. Soon to be one of the most reputed restaurants on the gulf, the 4K restaurant and bar at X2 provides all day dining for guests between 7:00 am. and 11:00 pm.

Although X2 resorts focus is pure and simple relaxation, they do offer a number of interesting activities for those that want to do and see a little more.

Mountain Biking
Whether on the beach or the tracks through local villages, the relatively underdeveloped locale of the resort provides an interesting adventure and is a great way to explore at your own pace.

SCUBA Diving and Snorkelling
Koh Samui offers many famous diving spots. Day trips are organised with local diving companies, and provide an interesting and enjoyable day out for those that love the water. Dive spots range from beginner to advanced so weather it's your first lesson or your a seasoned diver there's something for you.

Yoga
Yoga is offered as part of the Spa facility, morning and afternoon Yoga is arranged for guests.

Golf
There are international class golf courses in the area. Games and coaching can be arranged at the request of guests. Just ask at reception for details and tee times.

Fishing
Not the usual activity of most resorts, but X2 Samui is located close to a local fishing village. The fisherman offer to take guests out for an authentic evening of squid fishing the Thai way. Definitely something to write home about.

Kitesurfing
For the more energetic, just a short walk up the beach is the islands main kitesurfing clinic. Lessons and equipment are easily arranged and guests can choose to either kitesurf at the clinic or closer to the resort. You can even try your hand at windsurfing is kite surfing is a little too much.
